One of Indiana's most scenic areas, via STEEP hiking trails to the ridges and peaks. Never very crowded, a peaceful place.
Returning from Madison 'Soups, Stews, Chilli, Brews' I decided to stop and take a look. The lake was filled with trash. I considered making a spear and retrieving but was concerned about the ecological impact of taking a stick from the forest. The spillway was dry. We had just had several days of rain, so that was surprising. If I had made a special trip, I would have been quite disappointed.
Clean and quiet place. nice day out fishing.
Beautiful place for summer camping and fall walks and gorgeous when the leaves turn color. Also close to Brownstown to get any food or supplies for your outdoor fun.
